Position Overview
Kwaan Bear IT Solutions is looking for a cleared Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team at Fort Gordon.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Project Managers and other members of the program acquisition team.
- Address security requirements/needs at an application program level, identify, document, and implement required processes and procedures to satisfy cybersecurity requirements/needs.
- Review and identify all cybersecurity areas and adhere to necessary procedures to maintain security.
- Conduct accurate and complete evaluations of the level of security required.
- Perform continuous monitoring activities of all implementations with a view to ensuring compliance.
- Review and create certification and authorization (C&A) documentation IAW DoD and NIST guidelines.
- Participate in information system (IS) risk assessment(s) during the C&A process and design security countermeasures to mitigate identified risks.
- Completion of initial cybersecurity training is required IAW Army regulations and policy.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ten years of relevant experience; minimum of five years of experience in cyber technology or a related area.
- A current DoD 8570.01-M certification (CISM, CISSP, GSLC) is required.
- Functional knowledge of DoD cyber policies and directives.
- Knowledge of US Government security regulations and methodologies, FISMA, FedRAMP, and NIST special publications.
- Experience creating DOD RMF packages and associated work products and managing them through the program lifecycle.
- Experience with eMASS, ACAS & STIGs.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline (e.g., computer science, engineering, information science, or relevant field)
